We came in from out of town for an event and didn't get to eat before. So at 9:45 on a Wednesday night I'm googling local food places as we drive to the hotel to check in. There was Julz, open until 1 AM and only 10 mins from the hotel. I placed the online order before immediately. When we pulled up it turned out it was also a kareoke place and bar & I started to worry that maybe the online orders being open was an error, but the bouncer waved us in and security sent us allllll the way to the back to stand between the kitchen door and the kareoke stage, where a man in a flawless Michael Jackson costume was about to take the mic. We took the food back the hotel and it was excellent. The greens were tender and just the right level of spicy, the yams were not too sweet, the lamb was tender, the wings were delicious. Absolutely will order here again next time we are in Philly & in case you are also looking for good food on a weeknight after everywhere else is closed, YES Julz's kitchen is open & the food is fantastic.
This is my spot for Friday, Saturday nights. Good music, excellent food. That fish all that, Mac and cheese damn, those greens damn I need that recipe.
The food was fresh and full of flavor, the staff were welcoming and attentive, and the atmosphere has the right vibe. Relaxing but lively. Highly recommended
I went on a Sunday for R&B day birthday party from 3 to 9 it was a whole vibe it was pack the Dj, food & drinks was great definitely a place to party early & take it in early age average around 35 & up... ladies please listen to me the seats be locked down unless you get there early don't wear no heels unless you have a seat because your feet definitely going to hurt from standing & dancing hope this help

Fish Platter-Potato Salad side.Not everyone can cook a mouth watering Fish Platter. NOW y'all know soulful eating. The tater said (I spelled it how we say it )potato salad. Was amazing. Mac and cheese. MOST DEFINITELY CHEESY. THE STRINGBEANS ARE GexOOD. NOW LETS TALK ABOUT THE FISH, OOH WEE, I AM SHORT ON WORDS. BUT THE FISH was delicious hot and crispy.
OMGGGG THIS PLACE WAS OUR SERVER ASIA WAS AWESOME! MY HUSBAND HAD A RESERVE SECTION FOR HIS BIRTHDAY AND ASIA WAS VERT ATTENTIVE TO OUR VERY LARGE PARTY. NEXT, THE FOOD WAS AMAZING, ALL THE STAFF WERE ON POINT AND VERT FRIENDLY AND THE DJ WAS ALSO . LASTLY, THE MANAGER KEITH WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL, FRIENDLY AND JUST AN AWESOME GUY! I RECOMMEND THIS SPOT 100% WE WILL BE BACK WHEN WE VISIT PHILLY AGAIN!
